PHA Canada is committed to ensuring our outreach strategy is built on a process grounded in the spirit of reconciliation and meaningful engagement, conducted in a culturally respectful way. Thanks to funding awarded through the Global Genes 2023 Health Equity in RARE Impact Grant, PHA Canada has hired an Indigenous Peer Facilitator to lead the consultation process, including a focus group of First Nations, Inuit and Métis members of the PH community.

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in participating in this focus group. Unfortunately, there are no more spaces available.

About the Global Genes Health Equity in RARE Impact Grant

The Health Equity in RARE Impact Grant program provides an opportunity for patient advocacy organizations to improve outreach strategies, develop content, and address challenges that affect underserved and underrepresented people within the rare disease patient community. This year more than 102 patient advocacy groups applied, in three categories: outreach, education, and research. PHA Canada was one of 9 recipients to receive the 2023 Health Equity in RARE Grants.
