Monthly PH Community Meet-Up
PHA Canada invites you to join with the PH community on the last Thursday of every month for a casual meet-up—by Zoom of course!—with PHriends old & new. No agendas, no speakers. Just a chance to connect with your peers.
There will be two meet-ups each month.
Register here for the 10AM PACIFIC TIME (1PM EASTERN) session.
Register here for the 4PM PACIFIC TIME (7PM EASTERN) session.
Note: You must register for each meet-up separately - we promise it will only take a moment!
Meet-ups are open to all PH patients and caregivers in Canada, including those post-transplant. PH Health Care Providers are also welcome!
Participants will join small groups of about 4-6 people led by peer volunteers from the PH community. This will help keep your meet-ups manageable. Register now to select your group!
Life during a pandemic can be stressful, especially for people already concerned about their health or the health of a loved one. Staying connected to others in your community — even while practicing social/physical distancing — is an important part of staying well.
Could you use someone to talk to while “self-isolating” at home?
Do you want to help someone in the PH community feel less alone?
Sign up to become a “PH Buddy”. Buddies will help one another stay safe and socially connected during this uncertain time.
In-person Support Groups
If there is no in-person support group in your area but you would like to speak with someone directly, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
or 1-877-774-2226. We’d be happy to put you in direct contact with a community member or point you in the direction of additional support resources.
Telephone Support Groups
PHA Canada hosts a monthly telephone meeting for parents of children with PH on the last Wednesday of most months. The PH Parents Network is led by volunteer parents and is free to attend. For more information or to join the next call, email email@example.com.
Online Support Groups
In Canada, where people are spread out and sometimes live in very remote areas, connecting with others affected by PH online can be helpful in acquiring knowledge about the illness and finding peer support. Here is a list of Canadian PH Facebook Groups:
