PHA Canada recognizes its responsibility for good governance and transparent financial management. The Board of Directors, in partnership with the Executive Director, works to ensure that the money entrusted to us by donors and other supporters is used responsibly to meaningfully and effectively deliver PHA Canada's mission.

Accredited by Imagine Canada
PHA Canada has been accredited by Imagine Canada’s Standards Program since 2015. The Standards Program is a Canada-wide set of shared standards for charities and non-profits designed to strengthen practices in five fundamental areas: board governance; financial accountability and transparency; fundraising; staff management; and volunteer involvement.
To obtain this accreditation, a group of volunteers from the sector evaluated PHA Canada’s policies and procedures in the five areas mentioned above, which were found to be compliant with the Standards Program.
The goals of Imagine Canada’s Standards Program are to increase the transparency of charities and non-profits, and to strengthen public confidence in individual organizations and the sector as a whole. We are proud to join a growing community of more than 200 organizations dedicated to operational excellence and, by the same token, better serve our community.
