Volunteer Opportunties 

PHA Canada is currently seeking Community Outreach Volunteers for the following upcoming events:

Community Outreach Fair
Hosted by the University of Toronto’s Undergraduate Pharmacy Society
Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, 144 College Street, Toronto, ON
Friday, March 27th between 12-3pm
Canadian Respiratory Conference
Hosted by the Canadian Thoracic Society
Sheraton on the Falls, Niagara Falls, ON
Friday, April 16th & Saturday, April 17th*
*One volunteer is required to work BOTH days for approximately 3-4 hours per day
All volunteers will receive personal support from PHA Canada, including a brief online training. Volunteers who complete their training and commit to a minimum of three hours of volunteering will also receive a free PHA Canada t-shirt.

    PHA Canada Ambassador

    Position Classification: Two-year volunteer term

    Link to Mission: PHA Canada’s mission is to empower the pulmonary hypertension community through support, education, advocacy, awareness, and research. We do this on behalf of and in collaboration with all Canadians affected by pulmonary hypertension, including families and caregivers. Ambassadors work on behalf of PHA Canada to extend our reach across the country and provide leadership to the pulmonary hypertension community. Ambassadors are champions of PHA Canada who seek to inspire others and facilitate collective action in support of a better life for those affected by pulmonary hypertension.


    • Active participation in advancing PHA Canada’s mission, including identifying new opportunities for community-based projects
    • Representing PHA Canada at external meetings and events
    • Participating in public speaking engagements on behalf of PHA Canada
    • Sharing PHA Canada’s story and your own personal PH journey with others
    • Providing support and leadership to special events and campaigns
    • Acting as a mentor to other PHA Canada members and volunteers

    Scope: This is a part-time volunteer position. Ambassadors are expected to commit to a two-year term and contribute approximately 10 hours of work per month, including attendance at regular team meetings. Ambassadors will be required to participate in online meetings/trainings and may be required to travel occasionally.

    This position reports to the Executive Director and to the Board of Directors via the Ambassador Board Liaison.
